Tonight my band is gonna be the front act for a very famous band in Philippines, Parokya ni Edgar. They'll be here at the Arena Clarke Quay Singapore and I get to be on stage with them!! Wohooo!!!!!

03.14.2010 - Busy!!!

A lot of things have been happening lately with me. Hehehehe! That's my excuse for not having this site updated. Well, me and my band are now performing on a weekly basis for this variety show which will be shown in Philippines and Singapore. I've been practicing lately my violin skills. I just received a news yesterday that our pianist is about to leave the band so... I'm again back to playing the piano and violin. It's been about 4 - 5 years since I played the piano pretty well. Me and my rusty fingers will have to get back in shape before this coming Saturday's gig. You don't want to mess up in front of the TV Hehehe! Anyways, Only 2 days left before my favorite day of the year! Sad... no moola... Loser!! Hahaha!

I just created a tool called the Hash Calculator which basically computes for the hash values of messages. These hash messages are used for encryption. Hope you like it!

02.18.2010 - Jam Session 101

Practiced last night with the band. I tried using the electric violin I borrowed from a friend of mine. The violin sounded well though I had a very hard time hearing the music coming out from it because the speakers were too far away from me and placed overhead. When the entire band starts playing all at once, I get lost most of the time. I rely mostly on hearing the notes coming out from my instrument. Playing an acoustic violin on the other hand helps me hear what I’m playing even though the speakers are far from me. Properly placing a mic for it would be a problem though. Ordinary mics don’t capture the vibration of the violin’s body. Condenser mics are used instead which doesn’t come cheap.

On the lighter side though, I got a glimpse of the band member’s profiles. I mean, I got to know some of them in an acquaintance way. Some of them were from support centers. Others were from the medical allied studies. Some were from the distribution/logistics of PSPs! Some were from the same field as I am which is IT (Information Technology). So… that’s what IT really stands for!! Some are working as instructors/trainors in gyms, while others are from medical allied studies then shifted to an engineering type of work (drafting).

Funny though when you listen to them perform their part, a different story is being unfolded before you. Some perform wildly. Others sing while others sing and dance. Some suddenly drops confidence while others improve on what they do. Others just do it like no one’s watching. I don’t know about some but for me, listening and watching every performer translate a song on their own version always leaves me an overwhelming feeling of wonder or admiration especially when the performer breathes/feels what they’re doing.

No band practice this weekend. I need to practice on my own this weekend lah! Hahaha!

02.15.2010 - Hello World!!

Belated CNY and Valentine's to all. Just transferred hosting! The entire site is running in good performance now. Transferring to a new hosting provider is like having a bad breakup. :p

I just joined a band here at Singapore and well, we're gonna jam at a bar this coming 24th. It's a combination of Filipino and Singaporean musicians. I'll be playing the strings which reminds me that I need to practice!! Wohooo!!!

On the night before Valentines, I took the train ride home. I never took a seat even though there was a vacant seat just 4 feet away from me. A lady instead occupied it. Then after a minute or two, she just suddenly stood up and started heading for another vacant seat. I quickly wondered why she suddenly transferred seat. So I look back at her seatmates and tried determining what's wrong with her seatmates. Looking at them in a not-so-obvious-manner... The one on the right seems normal. The one on the left... well... my not-so-obvious-manner became oh-so-obvious-can't-hide-that-smile-anymore suddenly! I saw a key turning and started to float on it's own. Wahahahahaha!!! The one on the left was a street magician!!!! I couldn't help but smile and just couldn't believe my eyes!! I knew I had to move closer to get a very good view. He switched from one magic to another. I was like a kid opening his first PSP! To make the story short, the entire 20 minute ride was awesome!!

01.14.2010 - Clybs.com - Account Suspended

Hola!! My account has been recently suspended due to suspected phishing activities. My site was quarantined for investigation. Anyway, everything went well after explaining the purpose of my site, which is the opposite of phishing. I had to disable also the active links in the url expander because I think it's also one of the triggers why my site was blocked. I still have to figure out a way to make the links active yet safe at the same time for you and me.

Shrinktheweb.com is also down recently. Too bad, their service was great though.

I'm thinking of going back to making music again.... I need to get a good set of condenser mics and a digital mixer.

12.31.2009 - Last Day for 2009

Wohooo!!! Just got my google adsense approved!!! $$$ I just might become filthy stinking rich one day (well 2 out of 3 ain't bad). Hahahahaha!! :p

Yup, counting the hours before 2010. Sigh, space without stars... Nweiz, got my self a present. A new JVC audio headphone. They cost a lot but they sound really good!! It's like having THX and Dolby on your left and right ears!

I've been fixing the algorithm for the URL Expander and it's getting better everyday, or when I get the chance to tweak it though. Hehe! I hope someday people will benefit from it. Thanks for the help especially the devs from China, US, Russia, England, Australia, etc for pointing out the best methods. The world is getting smaller as we speak. Happy new year!!

SB malware is alive and kicking(backend)! I'll implement this one over the weekend and implement some slight changes to my orange/green a.k.a. pumpkin site. I need a life... :p

Etude No. 3 Moderato has also been conquered by yours truly. Starting to spend more time on my "viology" class. Hmmm.... I wonder if I should make a new string quartet video. :p

11.23.2009 - SB API for malware too big for my hosting

Tried getting an API for both malware and blacklist but failed on the malware fetch. I've reached the memory limit. Sorry neighboring websites for that sudden spike! Haha! Too bad for me. Nweiz, once I get past the first wave then succeeding updates should be lower. Work around in progress.

I'll be placing a link exchange page for my friends who also have their own websites. :p

11.15.2009 - 2012 Movie

Gotta finish the java long polling communication and 'ponder' on a new API. Nerd stuff... Zzzz. Left 4 Dead 2 is already out. Just saw it today. Prevent crime, play games. :p

Just got home at 3am after watching 2012. This is one scary ending for humanity and makes me realize that I only have 2 years time for me to complete this site. It also makes me want to go peacefully like my pet cat did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the people in the movie.

Rise and shine. Got the flag thing going for the currency converter. Lunch time at 1pm.

Waaahhh... harder than I thought. Anyway, fixed the Tools section and also the URL Trimmer and URL Expander. No flags yet... May be I'll give it another try when I get back home. :p

Wash those dirty clothes and start cleaning mah room. I'll also fix the currency converter and start placing flag images on the results.

Hello world! Having small sneezes this morning. Got my lappy formatted. Watched a movie called Shinjuku Incident (Japanese movie with China on the early 90s). That reminds me, I haven't been to a cinema for quite a while. Loser alert! Tried fixing AMF. Tried fixing some more here and there. Here's my new ranking at Alexa.
